Adventure Boys Privacy Statement Adventure Boys, Inc. want you and your family to have fun online and urge you to follow common sense whenever disclosing information – on this website or anywhere on the internet. We are genuinely committed to safeguarding privacy. Please read the following privacy policy to gain an understanding of how we use information to improve our site, our products and services. We may change our policy from time to time. When this happens, we will notify you of the new policy by positing it on our website. IF YOU ARE UNDER 18, PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THIS POLICY WITH YOUR PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIAN AND ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT THINGS YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND. IF YOU ARE UNDER 13, YOU SHOULD GET YOUR PARENT’S OR GUARDIAN’S PERMISSION BEFORE GIVING OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE ON THE INTERNET (INCLUDING YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS). It's our policy to create website content that requires minimum collection of information from our visitors. Generally, Adventure Boys limits the collection of information from children to what is known as non-personally identifiable information (e.g. screen name, year of birth, gender) . This information is collected so children can participate in activities without giving unnecessary personal information. From time to time, however, we may request limited personally identifiable information (e.g. child’s e-mail address and/or e-mail address of parent or legal guardian), as explained below, in order to conduct online contests or sweepstakes or offer other online activities. Adventure Boys does not condition a child's participation in any of our online activities on the disclosure of more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the activity. Adventure Boys, Inc. adheres to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). Adventure Boys ClubAdventure Boys, Inc. doesn’t require anyone to share any personal information about themselves in order to enjoy our website. That means you can visit our website without any need to register with us. However, Adventure Boys offers children the opportunity to sign up for the Adventure Boys Club. We ask all users who wish to join the club to provide their date of birth. For those users that indicate they are less than 13 years of age, we take them through a parental consent process. If given verifiable permission from a parent, Adventure Boys may collect and store the following types of information: name, e-mail address, mailing address, parent’s or guardian’s name and parent’s or guardian’s e-mail address. Adventure Boys may also collect demographic information about a child such as the child’s date of birth, gender and other preferences. We will only collect this information if it is voluntarily submitted and provided with the parent’s or guardian’s verifiable permission. Within two business days of receiving this information, we send the child's parent or guardian a notification email informing him or her of the child's request to join the Adventure Boys Club and give the parent or guardian the option to have his or her child's information removed from our database. At any time after receiving this notification e-mail, the child's parent or guardian has the opportunity to exercise the option to request that we remove the child's information from our database by following the "unsubscribe" instructions found in either their initial notification e-mail or on the website. In addition, parents or guardians may at any time review any identifiable information collected about their child (see below, Parental Access). Once collected, a child’s registration information may be used to allow the child to participate in contests and send the child electronic updates about club events and promotions, including information about new products, contests, features and other events of interest. In some instances, certain portions of our site (i.e. sending a video to a friend) will allow children under 13 to submit personal information such as their names and/or e-mail address without first telling us their age or obtaining their parent’s consent. These portions of our site provide services in a way that does not require prior parental consent. Contests and SweepstakesAdventure Boys occasionally offers contests and sweepstakes, which may be entered online. To participate in a contest or sweepstakes, a child is asked to select a code name and password and to provide an e-mail address. If the child is under 13 we also ask for a parent’s or guardian’s e-mail address. We will send the child's parent or guardian an e-mail within two business days informing him or her of the child's entry and give the parent or legal guardian the option to have the child's entry deleted. All the information collected by Adventure Boys in connection with contests and/or sweepstakes is securely maintained. Use and Disclosure of Information Adventure Boys uses or may use personally identifiable information that children provide for conducting contests or sweepstakes, informing them about club events and activites, new products and services and responding to their questions regarding our products and services. Adventure Boys currently does not disclose to third parties any personally identifiable information that children provide, except from time to time, we may transfer, disclose or share such information with third parties who may be engaged by us specifically to handle and deliver certain online activities (e.g. conducting contests and sweepstakes). Such third parties have access to only that personal information which is needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. In the event that all or substantially all of the assets relating to Adventure Boys are transferred or sold to another entity, personally identifiable information submitted to us may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We may also disclose personally identifiable information to third parties in order to comply with law or requests by law enforcement agencies, to enforce our Terms and Conditions or to protect the rights, property or safety of our website, users of our website and others. Messaging SystemAdventure Boys offers club members the opportunity to invite friends to join an online team. To form a team a child, using his or her secret code name, must invite another club member to join. The child receiving the invitation must accept the invitation before he or she becomes a member. Team members may be able to post messages to one another. Such messages will be viewable only by those team members. No personally identifiable information will used by club members.
